Marketplace discovery
Marketplace clients are the people who discover a trainer through Fitsylvania browsing, search, comparison, or marketplace-led trust signals.
On the first session and the first coaching plan with a marketplace-discovered client, the platform takes the 20% fee from your net (clamped to the per-currency floor and ceiling). Repeat sessions and plan renewals with that same client are fee-free. Courses are the exception - every course sale carries the 20% fee.
Direct trainer-owned flow
Direct clients are the people a trainer brings into Fitsylvania through their own profile link, studio link, or other direct outreach. This is a critical part of the long-term model because it makes Fitsylvania feel like the trainer's studio, not just a listing site.
Direct-link sessions and plans are fee-free from the very first transaction - Fitsylvania does not charge for clients you brought in yourself. Courses are the exception and always carry the 20% fee.
